mini documentary
~~Charles~~ I wanted to take Strike on Stage with me overseas, so Lisa and I each made a smaller version of the screen. When I went to the US and Canada recently, I brought my setup with me and performed a solo version of Strike on Stage at Stanford's CCRMA, a computer music research institution.
Because of the reduced screen size, I was able to cut down the lighting system to just one light, the screen and camera were held up by microphone stands that are pretty easy to find in any concert venue in the world (hopefully...). I was still reliant on finding a projector that can aim at the screen correctly, maybe a micro projector would work ok for this small setup?
Here's some photos of the setup and software:
And a video of the short performance:

We carefully aimed our 8 infrared security lights at the screen and then stuck them in place with velcro. The velcro dots help us to keep the lights in the same direction when we take apart the frame for touring.
Set up the Strike on Stage screen, lights, projector and camera to measure the required distances for our upcoming performances.
